Did that period of time where you can get out of a contract expire yet with Hayes and Baird ISD?

Why doesn't Hayes get on here and say whether he is or not. Then just disappear. I'm sick of all the drama some of these coaches love to get attention and give six-man a laughing name. How about those that coaches that are committed to one school whether their talent is great or not. Quit pimping your kids out.

To be fair, the only people causing drama or attention to them are on this site. Coach Hayes hasn't ask for any of it. The way I see it is he is keeping his decision private for whatever reason, and that is completely within his rights.

Regardless, if people like it or not, Coaches have to make the best decisions for them and their family. Some coaches prefer to keep things private until it absolutely needs to be public. This time of year, there’s always tons of movement, and many of these coaches are still at their current schools getting ready to leave. But are also teaching and coaching some of the kids they’ve had for years. So in some cases, it’s better to keep things under wraps until end of the school year.

Under the Texas Education Code, contract employees are required to resign no later than 45 days before the first day of instruction for the school year. Resigning outside this timeframe can lead to a determination that you have “abandoned your contract” and a one-year suspension of your teaching certificate.
