Truth. And this horrible call could have cost Gordon a State Championship. This would have been a tragedy. I wish history would remember that Gordon won fair and square instead of being known as the team that was given a 5th Down. The 5th Down was righting the wrong.

6-man football seemed to have been doing okay for a half-century before the split. But, let's agree to disagree and move on.

I understand that the cut-off numbers have risen which widens the gap of "fairness". However, since the division split, "classic games" rarely happen. Look at the last decade of D2 State Title games...most of them are shut-outs or pretty close to it. This is sub-par football.

I could not agree more with the laments that i've read in this thread. The two-division split has been terrible in every way. My biggest regret is that The Split corrupted the history and legacy of 6-man football as a whole. I could elaborate...but I wouldn't know where to begin and don't want...

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the white jerseys were worn because of the Horns' poor performance in the second round while wearing the black. I think we wore the white for superstitious reasons...but I could be wrong.
