 Transfers.
I'd like to know the rules about transfers. I know a couple of really good 6 man football players who are in their Junior or Senior years and their schools are not fielding football teams this year. That's pretty harsh for a kid whose played his whole high school career, and now in his last year or years he won't be able to play. Are there any rules about transferring to play somewhere else or playing for a home school team? I'd like to know the rules for TAPPS, T-CAL, T-CAF, or any other private school organization. Thanks.

 Re: Transfers.
I will speak about TCAL. I believe you may be speaking about some of the schools that in the past had football but unfortunately can no longer afford it and have had to drop football. If someone was to come from one of the teams and want to play for a TCAL team, we would have them submit a transfer request. This request would be reviewed and a decision would be made on their eligibility. I apologize for not being more specific, but we do try and weigh each case individually and on its own merits. If there is a specific school let me know and I will get you an answer on the eligibility of the athletes and possibly find them a place to play ball.
Thank you and God Bless Jimmy Stanford Football Commissioner T-Cal

 Re: Transfers.
For TAPPS, it's my understanding that as long as the student is not induced or being recruited by the coach from the school he is transfering to, he can transfer without any eligibility issues. Unlike U.I.L., there is not anywhere on the TAPPS PAPF that says anything about transfering for athletic purposes.
