Texas Commie Pinko School List (non-football)
According to the UIL list, the following Texas high schools do not play FOOTBALL (6 or 11 man).
I suggest that TEA immediatly identify these schools as underperforming and should be under immediate and intense scrutiny for failure to provide a complete educational environment.
(Seriously, a couple of these do play football ... Fort Hancock and Grand Prairie Advantage are outlaw 6 man schools, and I think even Brock is going to start football and play in the 2014-2016 realignment period). A number of them are charter schools as well and I think there are a couple that are in their first or second year as a new school
Adrian Arlington Summitt Int Prep Charter Austin Harmony Science Charter Austwell-Tivoli Avery Avinger Bellvue Briscoe Ft Elliott Broaddus Brock Brookeland (correction .. Bronte is still shown as 11 man) Brownsville Frontier Coll Prep Charter Channing Chrineo Clyde Eula College Station HS (new school) Comstock CC College Prep Charter CC London (new school) Cumby Miller Grove Dallardsville Big Sandy Dallas Faith Family Charter Dallas Triple A Charter Dime Box Dodd City Douglass Ector Edinburg Idea Quest Charter El Paso Da Vinci School of Arts Fayetteville Fort Hancock (non-UIL outlaw) Gary Georgetown Gateway Charter Goodrich Graford Grand Prairie Advantage Charter (non-UIL outlaw) Grand Prairie Harmony Science Charter Groveton Centerville Hartley Henrietta Midway Houston KIPP Charter Houston YES East End Charter Houston YES Gulfton Charter Houston YES SW Charter Houston YES SE Charter Huckabay Irving North Hills Ivanhoe Rayburn Keene Smith Kennard Knippa LaMarque Premier Academy Charter La Rue La Poynor Laneville Lasara Latexo Leggett Lipan Lufkin Hudson Lufkin Pineywoods Community Charter Marathon Martins Mill Martinsville McLeod Merit Bland Moulton Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill Mumford Neches New Summerfield Nocona Prairie Valley Nordheim North Zulch Onalaska Peaster Pollok Central Poolville Port Aransas Premont Presidio Priddy Richards Round Top-Carmine Roxton Saltillo San Antonio Fox Tech (dropped fb a couple years back when they became a magnet school) San Antonio Gervin Charter San Antonio Hawkins Charter (heard they are looking at 11 man, they'd be 2A) San Antonio Stacey (Lackland AFB) San Antonio Young Womens Leadership Charter (okay, an all-girls school. They get a pass) San Isidro San Perlita Slidell Slocum Spurger Sulphur Bluff Sulphur Springs North Hopkins Texline Tilden Mc Mullen County Tornillo Utopia Waco Meyer Waelder Waxahachie Faith Family Charter (there is a non-school group that plays sixman under this name, but they are NOT affiliated with this school) Wells Woden Yantis Zavalla

OBK... Oops. It was late. Bronte remains 11 man. It's Brookeland among the Commie Pinkos.
List corrected.

A few years ago there were rumors that Douglass and Gary were going to start football.

Re: Texas Commie Pinko School List (non-football)
Marathon doesn't have enough boys in school for a basketball team, mush less football. I think they would field a football team if they had a chance. They were once very proud of their football.
Tornillo still plays football (we played them the last few years). They could easily opt up like Anthony (who has around 200 in HS...Tornillo has 300+), but they don't. What's weird is they choose to play outlaw football.....which makes one wonder "Why?" They have a larger enrollment than Crane and Alpine.....they would be in that district (which includes Wall).....now that would be a trip. Did the UIL tell them to play outlaw football to keep them from making that rediculous district?
I think they would rather be in AA because the competition is a little easier on basketball........oh yeah.....their AD is the basketball coach. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Noticed you had Channing on your list. I pastored there back in the mid-70s. A friend told me they once played football, don't know if it was regular or on the crowded field. He said they had to trave so far to get beat so bad that they decided to drop football. Think that was probably back in the mid - late 50s.

I second coachjdjones on Marathon and would add Briscoe-Ft. Elliot as well. I think they would play football if they could field a team consistently.

Channing and Adrian used to play 6 man, along with Darrouzett, Kelton, Groom, and Booker back in the early 40's.

FE had a heck of a team about 10 years ago. They 45'd Silverton at half in the first round. Forgot how deep they went - but if I recall correctly, they only brought like 7-8 kids with them. As a matter of fact, I think they were the team that beat a very highly regarded Whitharral team. Seems as though Brandon Hoskins got knocked out of that game. I hate getting old. Memories start coming in faded out clips.
