Not only game of the week, but the first "game of the year" in the new season. Does either team show everything, given the lieklihood they could meet again in the playoffs?

Great game this early in the season. An hour ago, I thought Bracken. Now, I'm thinking Hill Country. I won't be surprised either way, but I'll say Hill Country by as much as 20.

looks like i am the first to pick Bracken ..think the key to this game will be a quick start..when these two offenses get rolling they get hard to stop

Checking last year's result, it was Bracken taking the victory 54-21 in what was also the first game of the season. Not sure, but Hill Country might not have scored less than double their 21-point output in any other game the rest of the year. Good defense by Bracken, or just opening game rust from Hill Country?

Well, that was last year and we're in a new year. I see both teams lost one All-State/All-Star game player, but otherwise return a strong nucleus. I'm thinking this is one of those games that comes down to which teams can make their extra point kicks. I believe that was an area that haunted Hill Country in some games last year. So, I say both teams score 6-8 touchdowns, but Bracken makes a few more 2-pointers and wins by 6.

Biased maybe, but I am also comparing the teams head to head & depth-wise. Any way I look at it, I see Bracken coming out on top. But as they say, "that's why the play the game". Good luck to both teams.

they basically have the same team as last year and they'll be going into week 1 with a 1-0 start.

I do not play on the team.

Just a 6 man fan and I'm just saying based on what I see. I have seen their last scrimmage and they look almost as good as last year. They might lose knowing its the first game of the season of a new year and against a good opponent, but we will see Friday night.

I think what Neutral's trying to say there is that he plays center with minimal time on the defensive end of the ball

Some pretty good senior talent on the field for this game. Anyone know if any of these boys are pursuing playing in college?
