if the BCS followed sixmanfootball.com rankings
I've been saying I would do it for years, but I finally did it... I did no adjusting to this. I didn't even pre-rank the teams. I ran it with the exact same variables as I do with six-man. I did try to run it a in a loop, but it really didn't make much of a difference, as it was pretty stable. It needs some adjusting... | RK | TEAM | REC | RATING | | 1 | Texas Christian | 8-0 | 1032.09 | | 2 | Oregon | 7-0 | 1030.16 | | 3 | Missouri | 7-0 | 1029.33 | | 4 | Auburn | 8-0 | 1022.69 | | 5 | Michigan State | 8-0 | 1020.72 | | 6 | Louisiana State | 7-1 | 1018.1 | | 7 | Utah | 7-0 | 1013.82 | | 8 | Wisconsin | 7-1 | 1012 | | 9 | Boise State | 6-0 | 1010.56 | | 10 | Oklahoma | 6-1 | 1008.59 | | 11 | Ohio State | 7-1 | 1002.66 | | 12 | Mississippi State | 6-2 | 999.48 | | 13 | Stanford | 6-1 | 999.23 | | 14 | Virginia Tech | 6-2 | 995.85 | | 15 | Illinois | 4-3 | 993.32 | | 16 | Florida State | 6-1 | 991.08 | | 17 | Miami-Florida | 5-2 | 964.02 | | 18 | Indiana | 4-3 | 960.28 | | 19 | Iowa | 5-2 | 956.22 | | 20 | Michigan | 5-2 | 954.03 | | 21 | Northern Illinois | 6-2 | 952.85 | | 22 | Arkansas | 5-2 | 948.41 | | 23 | Texas A+M | 4-3 | 946.04 | | 24 | Iowa State | 4-4 | 944.66 | | 25 | Nebraska | 6-1 | 943.73 | | 26 | Baylor | 6-2 | 942.62 | | 27 | Oklahoma State | 6-1 | 941.535 | | 28 | Arizona | 6-1 | 939.35 | | 29 | Kansas State | 5-2 | 939 | | 30 | U-C-F | 5-2 | 938.53 | | 31 | Clemson | 4-3 | 932.83 | | 32 | Florida | 4-3 | 932.34 | | 33 | Penn State | 4-3 | 932.02 | | 34 | Alabama | 7-1 | 930.84 | | 35 | Navy | 5-2 | 930.48 | | 36 | Texas Tech | 4-3 | 930.21 | | 37 | No Carolina State | 5-2 | 929.42 | | 38 | Southern Cal | 5-2 | 929.4 | | 39 | Temple | 6-2 | 929.17 | | 40 | Pittsburgh | 4-3 | 928.27 | | 41 | West Virginia | 5-2 | 925.62 | | 42 | Northwestern | 5-2 | 923.42 | | 43 | North Carolina | 4-3 | 923.26 | | 44 | East Carolina | 5-2 | 921.76 | | 45 | Nevada-Reno | 6-1 | 921.62 | | 46 | Notre Dame | 4-4 | 921.574 | | 47 | Southern Miss | 5-2 | 921.5 | | 48 | South Florida | 4-3 | 920.13 | | 49 | South Carolina | 5-2 | 919.66 | | 50 | Maryland | 5-2 | 919.21 | | 51 | Air Force | 5-3 | 918.09 | | 52 | Georgia | 4-4 | 917.72 | | 53 | Georgia Tech | 5-3 | 917.55 | | 54 | Wake Forest | 2-5 | 917.4 | | 55 | Purdue | 4-3 | 916.43 | | 56 | Oregon State | 3-3 | 915.38 | | 57 | Texas | 4-3 | 914.71 | | 58 | Hawaii | 6-2 | 913.63 | | 59 | California | 4-3 | 913.32 | | 60 | Syracuse | 5-2 | 912.7 | | 61 | Minnesota | 1-7 | 912.35 | | 62 | San Diego State | 5-2 | 912.08 | | 63 | Virginia | 3-4 | 911.15 | | 64 | Florida Intl | 2-4 | 910.55 | | 65 | Boston College | 2-5 | 909.75 | | 66 | Cincinnati | 3-4 | 909.67 | | 67 | Colorado | 3-4 | 909.46 | | 68 | Louisville | 4-3 | 909.27 | | 69 | Tennessee | 2-5 | 909.13 | | 70 | Toledo | 5-3 | 907.91 | | 71 | Kansas | 2-5 | 907.66 | | 72 | Louisiana Tech | 3-4 | 907.6 | | 73 | U.C.L.A. | 3-4 | 907.32 | | 74 | Duke | 1-6 | 906.23 | | 75 | Kentucky | 4-4 | 906.22 | | 76 | Army | 4-3 | 906.06 | | 77 | Brigham Young | 3-5 | 902.57 | | 78 | Vanderbilt | 2-5 | 901.71 | | 79 | Tulsa | 4-3 | 901.099 | | 80 | Rutgers | 4-3 | 901.09 | | 81 | Connecticut | 3-4 | 900.67 | | 82 | Buffalo | 2-5 | 899.84 | | 83 | Mississippi | 3-4 | 899.64 | | 84 | Fresno State | 5-2 | 899.32 | | 85 | Wyoming | 2-6 | 898.649 | | 86 | Washington | 3-4 | 897.94 | | 87 | Arizona State | 3-4 | 896.6788 | | 88 | Utah State | 2-5 | 896.61 | | 89 | Idaho | 4-3 | 896.03 | | 90 | Kent State | 3-4 | 894.34 | | 91 | Troy | 4-2 | 893.34 | | 92 | Ohio | 5-3 | 892.21 | | 93 | Tulane | 3-4 | 891.81 | | 94 | Western Michigan | 3-4 | 890.49 | | 95 | Houston | 4-3 | 889.97 | | 96 | Middle Tennessee | 3-4 | 889.45 | | 97 | Miami-Ohio | 4-4 | 889.44 | | 98 | San Jose State | 1-7 | 888.92 | | 99 | Arkansas State | 3-5 | 887.7 | | 100 | Western Kentucky | 1-6 | 886.89 | | 101 | North Texas | 1-6 | 886.23 | | 102 | Colorado State | 2-6 | 885.58 | | 103 | Washington State | 1-7 | 884.9 | | 104 | Memphis | 1-6 | 884.01 | | 105 | S-M-U | 4-4 | 883.2812 | | 106 | Florida Atlantic | 1-5 | 881.18 | | 107 | Marshall | 1-6 | 880.91 | | 108 | Bowling Green | 1-7 | 880.55 | | 109 | UL-Lafayette | 2-5 | 880.42 | | 110 | UL-Monroe | 3-4 | 879.97 | | 111 | Akron | 0-8 | 876.22 | | 112 | U-A-B | 2-5 | 875.79 | | 113 | UTEP | 5-3 | 874.32 | | 114 | Rice | 2-6 | 874.05 | | 115 | New Mexico State | 1-6 | 873.67 | | 116 | Nevada-Las Vegas | 1-6 | 871.9 | | 117 | Central Michigan | 2-6 | 869.42 | | 118 | Ball State | 2-6 | 866.73 | | 119 | Eastern Michigan | 1-7 | 864.79 | | 120 | New Mexico | 0-7 | 861.68 |

I like it. Would be hard to argue with it except for Alabama at #34.

What's wrong, not enough wailing & gnashing of teeth about your six-man rankings? You have to start having people complain about college rankings now?

Re: if the BCS followed sixmanfootball.com rankings
I have actually modified this to cap the score differential at 24 instead of 45 now and it looks a bit different... I have another version that is based on a system I developed 3 years ago for college tennis. It doesn't take score into effect at all, just winners and losers... I will probably average these for an overall. It looks pretty good.... the next step is the part that will predict lines...

Re: if the BCS followed sixmanfootball.com rankings
Granger doesn't need to push Notre Dame down in the rankings. All they need to do is step on the field and play. They will get there on their own!
