 vaqueros competing for district?
Now I know this might sound far from possible, seeing is how Sierra blanca is coming back from two back to back 1and9 seasons. Perhaps I'm talking over my head. This team I think could be ready for a run to playoffs. With the addition of new head coach donnel the vaqueros are finally getting the ball rolling. Still sounds far fetched I kno but I think we are in store for an exciteing season in district 7. Which I think might be one of the toughest districts with the defending state champs and rankin who we all know is a team to watch out for this season. I think we might be instore for upsets we know ft Davis is not gonna give anything away as well. I just wanted to see what I might stir up. Just saying. Have a great season and good luck to all teams. Let's go vaqueros! Prove um wrong boys!

Sorry, but I dont see Sierra Blanca beating GC, Ft.Davis, or Rankin. Rankin will win the district and Garden City takes second place.

Don't cut SVB31 short here. He (she) may be on to something. You see, I was standing out in the back yard the other day and this pig came flying by . . . . ;-)

Sorry SVB31, don't let your school spirit and pride get the best of you. A new coach and some new players doesnt make you a competitor in a district that is this tough.

Sounds like the begining of rocky!!! The first 1, where he goes from zero to hero. lol SB could be a hero, they have the athletes and coach to do it. The boys just need to focus and play there game.

Not a fighting chance.. Maybe they have a chance to upset the Indians, but they wont even come close to GC and will be mercy ruled by the Red Devils before the 3rd Quarter is over.

 Re: vaqueros competing for district?
Lots of laughs reading these post. Now this opinion came from watching the first two games and at that time these boys were playing some ball hard hitting fast football for the first quarter. I was hoping they would have taken five steps forward instead of standing still by this time of the season. They still have plenty of talent and a good hard working head coach but for some reason they can't get out of a hole the past three coaches have put them in. U can't coach heart that something that you just hope to get out of your kids. I gave up on this idea when I found out they had five guys show up to a Wednesday practice a couple weeks ago. I support these kids but u can't expect to win if you don't motivate your self to do your best. The old saying practice how you play. They have been practicing that way and you can see it they haven't showed up to play all season. Best of luck to all teams through the rest of the season and I hope our district wins state so that way our district record won't seem so bad.
