 KT of CO Spared Annihilation
The killer trout of Colorado have been spared, Their stay of execution being one year. In the mean time, a contingent of feeble, lethargic and languid souls shall make mecca to Platoro in hopes of paring the ranks of the ferocious beast. Lacking any true skill, an arsenal of rotenone, grenades and telephone magnetos may be their only hope. As in years past, they can still stop at the fish market in Ojo Calientes (since most of them have frequent buyer cards) and return home less than empty handed.

Lips moving -lies spewing forth, it's either a damn yellow dog demorat or a strangely disturbed brother that’s got his panties in a wad on being told he has to stay home this year. Say bro, did you know that the high in Platoro next week for all 7 days is going to be 68? But not to worry, the heat here is the DFW metro-mess is a dry heat, it’s not that bad. I for one have devised a method that will allow me to take far more trout this year than in years past. The secret involves a frying pan, that’s right; I am going to eat each days catch so that I can catch my limit on the next day. Nom, nom, nom, bacon eggs and trout, nom, nom, nom, peanut butter, jelly and trout sandwiches, nom, nom, nom, trout for dinner. Woo Wee I’m going to be eating trout. (using my new store bought teeth)

Pope, I intend to make the trip next year, so I issue a challenge. My fishing abilities are second to none so be prepared.

Re: KT of CO Spared Annihilation
So, Fajita… sounds like we are starting to establish a convenient alibi…. Fish??? Oh I ate em all.. you know…. Uhhhh fish n uhh whatever… ate em morning noon n nite… I’ve also noticed Coach is keeping quite. I suspect momma Jackson is reading n explaining the big words to him… just curious though.. after all these years does he still plug for bass up there or has he figured it out? And Doc.. I accept your challenge… just know that locals become alarmed at the rapid drop in water level due to the amount of fish I pull from the river.

Re: KT of CO Spared Annihilation
Pope, the game warden asked me to only fish one day every 2 weeks. There are more fish in my freezer than there are in Lake Aquilla.

Re: KT of CO Spared Annihilation
For Fajita it is a mythical beast that lives in the wild that he unsuccessfully hunts each July. He is very familiar with the domesticated variety that he picks up at the fish market as he makes his way back from Colorado

That South Fork - Creede area where I'll be part of the week after is supposed to be way up in the mid 70's. Oh well, I'll suffer through. Have been warned though that the water in the upper Rio Grande will be COLD on an afternoon float trip.
