Post Re: Prayers needed
Thank the Lord & the fact y'all got her treatment quickly. I can empathize with her about the morphine. Woke up from knee surgery feeling worse than I ever had in my life, extreme dry h___, alergic reaction. They couldn't change med till doc made his morning rounds. Then he was elswhere that morning & his sub didn't want to change without consulting him 1st.
Used to know a guy who was sprayed down his backside -back/butt/legs, with an automatic entering a barn in Vietnam (I've seen the back & leg scars). They gave him morphine in the field/on the chopper on the way back to the base. He ripped off the tag/band indicating he'd been given the morphine. They gave him more. They didn't think he'd make it after some treatment and sent home to be with family. He woke up landing at a base in Washington state, then again coming into Carswell. That was his story, I did see some of the scars. Nothing to do with your daughter. Just hadn't thought of it in a while. That's some powerfull stuff. Glad she's through the worst part & feeling better. Having a severely sick or injured young child is one of the worst possible feelings on earth. The helplessness on your part is agonizing.

She prolly gets her strength from her momma. ;)

(will she have a cool scar?)
(did she get to keep it?)
Imagine how popular she would be after show-n-tell with that thing in a jar and a cool scar!!
I'm just sayin'.
I love you, man.

My mother is 84 years old. She still has her appendix in a fruit jar full of alcohol. Appendicitis used to be a very serious thing. I just found out I had a great-uncle whose death was attributed to it in 1933 in Idaho. Of course he was out in the middle of nowhere and didn't receive any care in time.

Before her surgery I told her they were going to use a hacksaw and pliers to remove it. What a scar that would have left! Instead they did it orthoscopically and she will only have 3 very small scars. They are taking all the fun out of things. :(
Doggy - thanks for the love.

Doggy is starting to worry me Dr Tinkle.
First, he thinks you're hot.
Now, he's professing his love for you.
That's a little strange. :-)

Glad to hear your girl is doing better Cowboy.

Luckily for me, doggy doesn't know where my office is. Dr. Tinkle's Family Medical Clinic, Animal Hospital, Psychiatry, Small Engine Repair, and Beer & Bait isn't listed in the yellow pages

Maybe you should take up psychiatry as well. Judging from this site there is a great need for that particular specialty.

Thanks for the suggestion. Psychiatry has now been added.

Not that I know how,
but 1 of my 5th graders
ran a google earth search and found you.
They also want to see
the appendix in a jar!

My Gma had her gallstones in a little jar.
Used to shake them at us
and utter strange languages.

Oh and,
hope your daughter's doin fine!!

Doggy, you are starting to concern me. Down boy, down boy.
The surgeon just left. He is releasing my daughter. She should be out of here by 9:00 am.
She's grinning like a opossum eating s**t. The Dr. excused her from PE, & dishes for 4 weeks. She can go back to school Monday.

I told her she went a little over the top. A broken arm would have done the trick. :)

I just talked to Dr Cowboy Tinkle on the phone. It seems after he got his daughter home from the hospital they wound up hauling him there. Sounds like kidney stones. They sent him home with, from the way he sounded, some really good pain meds. Y'all might want to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I had a missed call from The Good Doctor about 5:30. Sorry to hear he is in pain. Kidney stones are the closest thing to childbirth a man can experience.. .. Just had a text from him, he's still in the E.R. says he is waiting to hear if it's appendix or kidney stones. says it was the worst pain he's ever experienced. Does sound like kidney stones. I don't guess we can say "Physician heal thyself" in this case.
