Why did star suspend their season?

Don you might check Gustine and Rising Star. Aviles is at Rising Star, but I don't know his first name. Miller was going to step in for Gustine the last that I had heard.

Good question.
Did they hire a guy then cancel?
Did they count heads and decide they wouldn't have enough players?
Could they not get a coach?
Sad.

There has actually been a coaching change in Blum. Coach Abshire has left and I(John McFarlin) will be taking over.

I am pretty sure that Campbell's coach is named Tyler Smith, not Colby Tyler.

Not enough players at Star. Hunt will coach the other sports.

They had enough kids to field a team, but were undersized and didn't want to jeopardize not completing the season if injuries or grades took them under the needed numbers.

Thanks for the info. It's a sad thing to hear, but understandable.

Speaking of who went where, does anyone know where any of the boys in that talented group of kids from Pine Drive's dream team of last season went (particularly the Kelley boy, #31 , and Marcantel)? I'd like to keep an eye and ear out for those kids. Sad what happened. There was a lot of talent there.
